...Okay, Okay, sounds kinda weird, but you know the song 'Accidentally In Love' from Shrek, well it kind of became our unofficial motto (courtesy of miss Katie Rodgerson...er Workman)
We met eachother Junior year in highschool. First things first, I couldn't really stand Jared, I figured he just hung around for the girls...turns out I was way off on my first impression of him and we became really great...friends honest to goodness just friends. Time flew, the friendship REALLY grew, and senior year I was hooked! We dated other people and still dated eachother, I mean what highschool couple thinks they'll last more than a semester anyways, and we loved our friendship. Alright, so we were both in denial from day 1, and definitely in love, but try getting either one if us to admit...HA!
By February 2005 Jared was headed on his mission to Trujillo, Peru. So what does he do before he leaves, asks me to wait?!!?! Crazy right?! yah I thought so too, but believe or not I was miserable without him. My best friend was gone, and I couldn't pretent he wasn't more to me any longer, so I did the craziest thing I've ever done in my whole life, something I'd never wish on anyone...I waited, and waited and waited...and waited. February 2007 couldn't have come any slower, but i made it, we made it, and we started all over again. Absence made our hearts grow way fonder and April 14th (jared's b-day) he proposed on the beach in Santa Monica...and he says he not romantic :)
And if we thought two years was a long time, man we had no clue how 3 months would feel!! We were married on July 7, 2007 in the Mesa Temple, and we couldn't be happier! We spent our honeymoon at one of our favorite places, Lake Powell!!
Here we are almost 8 months later(and yes the sunburn has healed!)
