O Brother!

so this last weekend when my wonderful hubby was at school late (like usual)....I decided last minute to go see one of the Young Women in my ward perform in a play. It was at TheaterWorks in Peoria, and the play is called 'Signs of Sara'. Well since I hate going anywhere by myself I took my awesome little brother with me!! It was TONS o' fun, and the play was really good!! It brought back lots of good memories when I would drag my little bro along with me pretty much everywhere. I LOVE my brother and I am so thankful we've always been so close!! He is a pretty awesome dood and has always set a really good example for me...lol, yah i know I'm older i should be setting the examples here, but seriously Dizzle you are the best, i love ya bro!

so i was having this conversation with my brother Waylon the other day, and what do you know I can't stop wondering about it, really it's just very deep, mind boggling stuff!!

Why do headphones or pretty much any other item with cords get all tAnGlEd up??!! Seriously!!! after having that talk i decided the next time i put my headphones in my purse that i would roll them up really carefully and tight! So i did, and today I pull them out and they were a jUmBlEd MesS!!! how is it even possible that they had so many double and triple knots in them???? Is there some evil cord God that likes to mess with me!?

that's right baby, Twilight is released at midnight!!! I will be picking up my 2 disc special edition DVD at that time precisely! Woohoo, T-minus 17 hours to Edward fest!! HAHA!

Santa Monica

Last weekend Jared and I got to take a quick trip over to Santa Monica to visit jared's sister and her family. We don't get to see them as much as we'd like, so it was great! and I think the last time we drove to their place was about 2 years ago...kinda sad! We didn't get any pictures, sorry!

It was a lot of fun!! We didn't do a whole lot of activites, mostly just hung out and played with the kids, but it was a blast. little Megan (who really isn't so little anymore) is such a creative little girl. She's also very energetic and determined, I had a lot of fun doing 'projects' with her! and Kyle is the cutest little man ever, that kids smile is heart melting!

We did get to go to a cool Soda Shop with tons and tons of different sodas....i got 2, and i picked them out by the label, they're pretty funny. I'll have to snap a picture of them later. We also went to Benihana together and it was super yummy and hilarious to watch Megan's reaction to the 'live action' cooking.

It was a good trip, thanks for letting us come bug you for a weekend Julie! Hopefully when they move we won't have to drive 6 hours to see them....aka....move to az!!! ;)

New Calling!

So, since our ward recently split and we ended up in the 'new ward' there were a lot of callings to be assigned. I though for sure that we would end up staying in scouts because we really had the hang of things and there would be 10 boys in it! So when the 1st counselor said he wanted to come see us last week, I was ready to continue with scouting....SO i was totally thrown off when they asked me to be the 2nd couselor for Young Womens!!! I was a little nervous yesterday when they did the sustaining just because I could tell all the girls were really interested to find out who their new leaders would be, but I am so exited for this new calling!!! I hope i can be a good example and a good leader for all of them and that they don't hate me!

Also, Jared is now the 11 yr old scout leader, and he gets to go on outings now!! I think he's really exited to be in boy scouts now because they get to do so much more than the cub scouts program. I know he'll be great and those boys will have a blast with him!

18 days or 22????

I am SO frustrated with Amazon right now!!! There is only 18 days until this DVD is released and that's about how long until I want to sit down and watch it! However I pre-ordered this on Amazon, and the shipping says expected arrival is MARCH 25, 2009....that is 22 days away!

I made the pre-order on January 13th just so i wouldn't have to worry about recieving it late.....backstory....I did the same thing w/ Harry Potter Book 7 and according to amazon "pre-ordered it too late to have item delivered on the release date"..SO i had to cancel the order and went to barnes & noble and picked it up......Anyways to avoid that this time I pre-ordered it right away! I even called customer support when I realized the delivery date was after the 21st.....The guy told me not to worry that the date would probably change within a week or so since they've had so many pre-orders....that was in January and it still says the 25th!!! I called again this morning and another person told me the same thing....I'm giving them another week, and if it says the 25th, I am CANCELLING my stupid order and will pick it up at Walmart for $3.11 cheaper!! AND i will NEVER pre-order anything from Amazon again! (yes Jared, I realize this was the most pathetic rant i've posted thus far!) GRRRRR!

I finished my Wall Art project!!! And it was just in time for my freshly painted bathroom. I'm so glad our guest bath is finally finished!! And i'm pretty pleased with the art i made for it. It was something i was wanting to do for a while, and I really liked the way it turned out.... AND it was SOOO easy!!!
